Synthesis and implementation of digital spiking neurons

Abstract(in English) This paper studies implementation of desired digital spike-trains based on simple evolutionary algorithm. First, the dynamics of spike-trains is visualized by a digital spike map. The map is defined on a set of pointsand is represented by a characteristic vector of integers. Second, the simple evolutionary algorithm is based on thegreedy searth. This algorithm aims at optimization of characteristic vector for cost function. We use autocorrelationfunction as cost function. Third, in order to implement the digital spike map, we introduce a digital spiking neuron. Repeating integrate-and-fire behavior between a periodic base signal and constant threshhold, the neuron can output various periodic spike-trains. Spike-trains are simulated by Verilog and the digital spiing neuron is implementedby FPGA .
