Reduction of DNS queries using intelligent caching system

Abstract(in English) Page loading time of websites is one of the dominant criteria for the UX (user experience) during web browsing. In this paper, we focus on a single part of the loading time, DNS lookup time. We propose a method to verify the validity of DNS entries after their expiration, using target servers’ SSL certificates. We have successfully implemented the system and performed an experiment, which revealed that our proposed method achieves approx. 10% reduction of DNS lookup time compared to the conventional one.
