Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the aim of ensuring competitiveness over medium- and large-sized satellites, we are conducting research to develop the circularly polarized synthetic aperture radar (CP-SAR) for microsatellites. We assembled a parabolic antenna and an array microstrip patch antenna as a feeder, and measured the characteristics of circularly polarized waves by simulation and measurement of prototype in anechoic chamber. The larger of the reflected area of the parabolic antenna has a larger gain, but we developed a smaller antenna to realize a compact antenna for microsatellite antenna with electrical performance equal to the conventional model.
