Abstract(in English) | Kyushu University Ito Campus is the biggest campus in Japan where more than 20,000 students andstaff are enrolled. About 46 % of workers and 23 % of students commute on Kyushu University’s Ito campus bybus. As a result of the spread of COVID-19, we have to avoid crowded places such as trains and buses duringthe commute-time period. It has now been resumed a part of the on-cumpus lectures. A number of workers andstudents restart communting on the Ito Campus and have to avoid crowded buses by staggered work/commutationhours. The crowdedness, however, is dependent on the weather condition, and even on the given day. Therefore, wehave developed itocon, a system that visualizes congestion at a bus stop using multiple congestion sensors to makeit easier to keep away from crowded places. In this talk, we present the design details of the itocon system. |
