Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a deep learning based method for estimating the distance to pedestrians using monocular images. We use bounding box features for distance estimation, which are outputs of the person detection algorithm. We attempt to improve the accuracy by combining bounding box sizes, degree of image blur and semantic image features. In addition, as an application of the pedestrian distance estimation, a method of walking speed estimation is also proposed. |
