Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | For mobile communication between ground and vehicles on railways, voice channel and several Mbps data transmission by wireless radio in 150 to 400MHz band are mainly used. New services that utilize vast amounts of data are now available, and it is expected that the capacity of transmission lines will increase in the railway field as well. In an environment with many straight lines such as a high-speed railway, some advantages of a communication system that utilizes the straightness of millimeter wave radios have been reported. However, in the curved section, as the radius of the curve becomes smaller, the line cannot be covered in linear area, so that the communication range becomes shorter. In this report, we have measured the radio wave propagation characteristics in the 45GHz band in the curved section and evaluated it by simulation using a ray trace method, and shown that the millimeter-wave radio reach places where non-line-of sight in the curve section is available. |
