Abstract(in English) | We propose and experimentally demonstrate dynamic range enhancements of analog-to-digital conversion by multiple-channel analog-to-digital converters for beyond 5G mobile fronthaul. To provide the mass, wideband, and low-latency services, analog transmission schemes such as analog RoF (A-RoF) and intermediate frequency-over-fiber (IFoF) schemes have been intensively studied because they can achieve the bandwidth reduction. However, the dynamic range of practical ADCs at present is limited to approximately 20~30 dB at the sampling rate of 60 GSa/s. For uplink transmission, more than 10.0 dB improvement of the dynamic rage is achieved by using 28 GS/s and 8-bit two-channel analog-to-digital converters. |
