Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Animacy is demonstrated to affect the subsequent grammatical encoding stages during sentence production. However, different animacy processing was suggested by the error analysis studies of Chinese JFL learners without being examined in terms of sentence processing. The present study thus carried out a sentence-recall task, using transitive sentences manipulated by voice and word order, and NP conjunctions varied in the consequence of noun phrases. The results showed that animacy affected the production of L1 speakers. As for L2 learners, we confirmed the subject prominence from the tendency to preferentially start a sentence with the subject argument (-ga), though we could not exclude the possibility of animacy effect. |
