Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The direct detection method that reconstructs phase information using Kramers-Kronig (KK) relation is attracting attention for data center interconnects in the next generation. However, this method requires both high-speed A/D conversion (ADC) and high carrier-to-signal power ratio (CSPR). We have proposed a method to relax the requirements for ADC sampling rate and for CSPR by removing harmonics which result from two nonlinear operations: square-root and logarithm. In this report, we numerically investigated the relation between digital upsampling that be needed for elimination of harmonics and performance improvement by the proposed method. It is predicted that the proposed method will be effective by removing the harmonics by logarithmic operation with upsampled rate of three or four times the Nyquist rate. |
