Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to improve the operation rate of the equipment in factory, it is very important to understand the status of equipment and worker positions. In addition, due to labor-saving by robots and the decreasing trend of the worker population, the single-person work increases and therefore the healthcare of workers becomes important to grow company sustainably. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) is starting the certification system of excellent health and productivity management corporation to lead the way in accrediting health management excellence. However, to get the worker location in the factory where global positioning system (GPS) is not available is difficult and, so indoor positioning technology using inertial navigation is required. In this study, we developed an indoor positioning system using solar Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacon settled in the factory, 10-axes sensors attached to the workers, and map matching. The 10-axis sensor data and BLE reception logs were recorded, and PDR (pedestrian dead reckoning) was performed. The developed indoor positioning system evaluates the positioning error by extracting the worker’s traffic line (time, coordinates) based on the camera image. As a result of the evaluation, the median positioning error was 3 [m] in 24 hours. In the development, we introduce a prototype of sensor data fusion for indoor positioning system which consists of solar BLE, 10 axes sensor and map matching and some examples of practical outdoor field trials.
