A dynamic cache server placement method for content distribution system over container infrastructure

Abstract(in English) In recent years, with the development of communication technologies, the demand for content delivery services has been increasing as the users can easily access the contents. At the same time, the users require better mechanisms for content delivery with the quality of service (QoS). For this problem, CDNs have been used. In addition, recent virtualization technology enables to deploy the cache servers more flexible and expect to improve QoS and resource utilization efficiency. Although there are many studies on the deployment of cache servers, most of them are simulation evaluations based on known access patterns. In this paper, we use AS information to estimate the access pattern, and dynamically deploy the cache server using the container distribution infrastructure. We implemented a content delivery system that can dynamically deploy cache servers according to the ever-changing access patterns.
