[Short Paper] Searching for meaningful content distribution services using 5th generation mobile communication systems

Abstract(in English) From spring 2020, 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) has begun. The characteristics of 5G are "high speed and large capacity", "low latency" and "multi-connection”. The company considers this as a business opportunity and are planning a new business that takes advantage of these characteristics. However, services such as high-definition (4K/8K) video distribution and VR video experience, which were actively discussed before the 5G service was launched, have not been provided yet. Even in the "5G Idea Contest" sponsored by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, there are no prizes for content distribution services. Therefore, the author built a virtual 5G environment and a 4K video distribution service, and conducted video distribution experiments to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the video distribution service in the 5G environment.
