Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Continuous improvement activities of lectures are required in university education. However, there are few discussions on methods and analysis for measuring the educational effects. If lecturers change contents of their courses, they will coordinate exams and assignments according to the change. Therefore, comparing the average score with the value of the past exams does not mean an accurate comparison of the educational effects. In this study, we tried to evaluate the effects of improvement activities for an information literacy subject by analyzing with the item response theory (IRT) used in English language proficiency tests such as TOEIC. As a result, we were able to quantify the degree of discrimination and difficulty for each question in the past exams, develop a test for measuring the students’ information literacy ability and to suggest a method of verification for informatics education.
