Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the morbidity and mortality of heat-related illness have begun to increase and become a social problem. Heat-related illnesses occur due to heat imbalance and dehydration in the body. Therefore, it is important to quantitatively evaluate the risk of heat stress, such as external temperature, in human by considering the heat adaptation and individual difference due to age. However, the WBGT does not consider thermo-physiological responses in human. In this paper, we propose a estimation of heat-related morbidity, which considers heat acclimation and the heat effect for several successive days. We found that the morbidity of indoor patients was highly correlated with the weather conditions for two or three successive days, whereas the morbidity of outdoor patients was highly correlated to only the weather conditions of that day. The contribution of this study is to provide the equations for estimating the heat-related morbidity, and compare this with the recurrent neural network (RNN). Our findings would be useful to the preparation of emergency transportation.
