| Abstract(in English) | In this study, we analyzed whether there is any relationship between impression evaluation for painting and eye movements during painting appreciation. The Hidden Markov model (HMM), which is a machine learning method, was used for the analysis and the experiment. Ukiyo-e, a Japanese historical painting, was used for the experiment. As a result, it was shown that there was a characteristics pattern in the gaze movement. Negative impression evaluation has “Holistic” eye movements pattern, in contrast, positive impression evaluation has “Analytic” eye movements pattern. |
