Abstract(in English) | With the spread of social networking services from the evolution of information and communication technologies, social networks have had great influence on whole society, whereas there is a concern about the negative impact of information diffusion. A universal model will provide a clue to mitigating this negative impact. On the other hand, the psychological reaction of how information effects human behavior should be modeled properly since human emotions and cognition are likely to affect information diffusion. Although it might be difficult to model the reaction directly due to psychologically complex phenomena, it is possible to express a psychological principle that describes the mutual relationships among ambiguity, importance, and rumors. This paper proposes a model of information diffusion that takes into account the ambiguity and importance of information by using information entropy and information vitality introduced in the principle of information engine. The paper also shows that our model has the potential to predict the speed and range of information diffusion. |
