Abstract(in English) | In this talk, we introduce the current spread of the precise positioning with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and its application for motorcycle sensing and probing. As GNSS, the Global Positioning System (GPS) by U.S. and GLONASS by Russia are famous. Since the 2010s, the European Union and China have launched their GNSS named Galileo and BeiDou, respectively. Japan and India have also launched their systems, but as regional systems, named the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) and NavIC (Navigation Indian Constellation), respectively. From the end of 2015, reasonable consumer-use GNSS receivers have been available that can receive such multi-GNSS signals and can output raw measurement information for precise positioning. The precise positioning used to be intractable, but the number of available satellites makes it realistic even the receiver is moving. GNSS has often used in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). To develop ITS for small mobilities such as motorcycles, more precise position information is desired. We introduce several ways to utilize the precise satellite positioning for ITS application, such as probing with motorcycles and sensing for a motorcycle. |
