| Abstract(in English) | Optical transmission system is becoming more open as well as servers and network switches. An open optical packet transponder, in which software and hardware are separated, has emerged as a device for realizing openness, and its use in datacenter interconnect has begun. The Telecom Infra Project (TIP), which is promoting openness, is working on the specification and interconnection verification of open optical packet transponders. This paper introduce the background to open optical transmission system, the artifacts and activities created by TIP and the field trials of NTT Group. |
