Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Previous research revealed that the stimulus durations were judged as being longer after than before viewing films eliciting fear. In this study, we investigated whether this finding would be replicated in an online experiment with Japanese participants. In the experiment, after watching a film eliciting fear, participants performed the temporal bisection task. Results replicated previous findings only when we excluded the data that did not elicit fear. Our data suggest that the experimental paradigm that have been used in lab settings can be applied in online experiments with Japanese participants in order to examine the effect of emotion on time perception.
