Abstract(in English) Vibrations are essential sources of information that insects and plants utilize during biological interactions. The importance of new technologies for physical control of insects and plants has increased in response to societal needs for environmentally friendly alternatives to synthetic pesticides. On the basis of our findings on controls of pest insects and crop growth using vibrations, we are currently developing new technologies for pest management and cultivation using vibrations.
