抄録(和) | To offer self-study environments of Java programming, we have developed Java programming learning assistant system (JPLAS) that contains several types of exercise problems to cover different learning levels of students. Among them, the element fill-in-blank problem (EFP)intends novices to study Java grammar and basic programming skills through code reading. A lot of EFP instances have been generated by applying the blank element selection algorithm to various source codes to cover broad topics.Previously, we proposed a recommendation function considering the difficulty level of each EEP instance, to assist a student to choose a proper EFP instance to be solved from them. However, it is not implemented at the offline answering function that allows students to solve EFP instances without the Internet access.In this paper, we implement the improved recommendation function for EFP that considers recently released grammar topics at the offline answering function.For evaluations, we generated 85 EFP instances covering the new grammar topics, and confirmed the effectiveness of our proposal through applications to ten students in our department. |
