Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, the penetration rate of smartphones in Japan has expanded to about 70%. Among them, smartphones equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which is a short-range wireless communication technology, are the mainstream. Therefore, as part of preventive measures against infectious diseases by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), a contact detection method using BLE of smartphone has been examined. In the detection method, the Received Signal Strength Indicators (RSSI) of advertising packets are recorded on each other. If the values are high, they are presumed in close and the possibility of the contact is reported. However, the RSSI changes depending on the surrounding environment, and it is unclear whether it can be judged that the contact is made only by the RSSI. In this paper, the RSSI is measured in various situations using the application developed for the test of the contact detection by RSSI, and the possibility of contact detection is discussed. |
