[Short Paper] Worst-Month Statistics of Outage Probability in THz-Band Wireless Communication Systems

Abstract(in English) Very wide spectrum is available in THz-band for over 100Gbps ultra-broadband wireless communications, however THz-band outdoor wireless communication systems suffer not only atmospheric attenuation but also rain attenuation. Since rain and atmospheric attenuation is affected by rain and atmospheric factors such as water vapor and oxygen, outage probability needs to be evaluated for link budget design by taking account of these factors. However, there are few reports about outage probability evaluation and no report is available regarding worst-month statistics of outage probability in THz-band outdoor wireless communication systems. This report describes evaluation results of worst-month statistics of outage probability in THz-band outdoor wireless communication using the weather observation data in Japan.
