Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The quasi-zenith satellite Michibiki, operated by the Cabinet Office of Japan, not only broadcasts navigation signals that are almost the same as the navigation signals broadcast by GPS satellites, but also sends disaster and crisis report signals. On the other hand, the occurrence probability of issuing a disaster and crisis report related to a user would be low. Therefore, a mobile user would like to receive the signals intermittently rather than continuously because of the rare occurrence probability of disaster. The intermittent reception, in which the signal is received for a certain period and the rest period is put to sleep, also enables the users to reduce the average power consumption. In this report, an intermittent reception method that the receiver performs selective reception using the 24-bit CRC included in the message is proposed and is evaluated using the mutual information. |
