Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The software defined satellite (SDS) improves frequency utilization to control resources such as time, frequency, and space by using fully digitalized onboard processor. In addition, SDS enables satellite communication and observation operators to provide ability to customize their services in a satellite life time. In order to realize SDS, functional restriction due to the analogue devices should be avoided to alternate analogue processing with digital as much as possible. Also, if we use commercial grade devices attracting higher processing speed at a modest price than space grade devices even though less resilient, soft error mitigation techniques are important. Therefore, this paper shows some fundamental techniques toward the SDS. Firstly, the direct digital transmission technique utilizing delta-sigma modulation is proposed to omit multi-bit digital-to-analog convertor and mixer. In addition, this paper shows novel parallel circuit design to improve signal discontinuity. Secondary, error robust technique utilizing stochastic computing is proposed. In this paper, design results of digital channelizer with stochastic computing and Signal to Noise power Ratio (SNR) performance under the soft error environment are provided. Finally, this paper proposes novel error tolerance digital processing technique which restores distorted signals utilizing Convolutional Neural Network De-noising Auto Encoder (CNN DAE). In the proposal, CNN DAE learns a representation for a set of data by training the neural network to minimize signal noise, then the output is selected from restored signal or original signal appropriately to avoid representation error.
