| Abstract(in English) | A Named Data Networking (NDN) router stores incoming faces from which Interest packets are received at a Pending Interest Table (PIT) to support state-full forwarding. PIT entries should be exclusively accessed by threads when the NDN protocol is run on a multi-threaded hardware platform. The authors designed the data structure and the algorithm for the PIT such that threads do not perform mutual exclusion for accessing PIT entries. The paper validates that errors resulting from not performing mutual exclusion are recovered by the NDN protocol using simulation. |
