| Abstract(in English) | This paper will first introduce a new method using the phase of a pair of symmetrical coils to detect the metal object in Wire-less Power Transfer(WPT) system. The theoretical analysis and the numerical study show that this method will not be affected when the receiving coil moves to two-thirds of the coil length. The experiment shows that this method can detect the coin shape metal but has a risk of failure due to the receiving coil misalignment. A series circuit design and an improved method have been proposed to make the method robust to the receiving coil position. Therefore, this method can detect the coin shape metal with the receiving coil two-thirds of the coil length far away from the coil alignment position. |
