Distributed Runtime Environment with Julia Language

Abstract(in English) Julia-lang is a relatively new scripting language aiming at high-performance computing powered by powerful LLVM JIT compilation. Julia is considered to be a good candidate for the post-python machine learning language. To investigate the suitability for large-scale distributed environments, we performed communication speed evaluation with several settings. Our evaluation revealed that with MPI bindings Julia could leverage underneath communication service well, while with Julia-native distritution API the performance was not satisfactory.
