Preliminary examination of normally-off power management for local 5G base station

Abstract(in English) It is necessary to reduce power consumption of base stations (BSs) in local 5G network. This article proposes applying normally-off power management, which can reduce power consumption of entire system by cutting off power to waiting parts, to the BSs. We simulate the energy consumption of a BS caused by data transmission to an end node. And then, it is discussed how many antennas should be deployed to the BS to maximize the energy efficiency of our proposal from simulation. Simulation result demonstrates that our proposal can reduce total energy consumption.
