Abstract(in English) | High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) is attracting attention as a new communication platform for disaster countermeasures because it can cover an ultra-wide area at once while enabling direct communication with mobile devices on the ground. Because HAPS flies in circles through the stratosphere, the service area on the ground (footprint) is displaced and the communication quality cannot be maintained at a constant level. In order to address this issue, we have proposed footprint fixation control method using a cylindrical array antenna. In this paper, we report on a prototype development of service link antenna for the proposed method and show that the proposed footprint fixation control can be realized with a real device from the measurement results of the beam pattern and the footprint fixation control. |
