Noncontact Measurement of the Propagation of a Heart Pulse Wave Using an Ultra-wideband Millimeter-wave Array Radar System

Abstract(in English) The velocity of a pulse wave is an important index used in detecting various diseases. In this paper, we carry out human-body measurements using a 79-GHz millimeter-wave ultra-wideband multiple-input multiple-output array radar and experimentally investigate the accuracy of measuring the propagation of a pulse wave. The skin displacement caused by propagation of the heart pulse wave at multiple locations on the human body is measured through array signal processing. The skin displacement waveforms are carefully compared and analyzed to evaluate the accuracy of the measurement of the propagation of the heart pulse wave.
