A Study on Centralized and Distributed Intelligent Particle Multi-Swarm Optimization

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new method of distributed intelligent particle multi-swarm optimization (DIPMSO) contrast to the existing method of centralized intelligent particle multi-swarm optimization (CIPMSO) in order to achieve the high-performance and diversity of particle multi-swarm search. The key idea, here, is to change the mode of intelligent judgment in particle multi-swarm search from centralized type to distributed type. Based on the search characteristics making every particle swarm to have an intelligent judgment function, therefore, particle multi-swarm search is performed by parallel processing with independently measuring the search status of each particle swarm. Since the autonomy of each particle swarm search can be retained, this approach will further improve the efficiency and conformity of particle multi-swarm search. Due to confirm the characteristics and effects of the exploratory behavior, many computer experiments are carried out to solve four benchmark problems by the proposed method of DIPMSO. By analyzing the experimental results obtained, specifically, the search performance and effect characteristics of the proposed approach are clarified.
