Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ray-tracing has been successfully used as a site specific radio propagation model adopted to wide range applications such as generating channel model and design of base station placement, which considered as must-to-have technology for advanced wireless systems. Meanwhile, the calculation cost is significant in the scene which consist many reflection/diffraction points owing to enormous search space, therefore approximate algorithms to get effective propagation paths are important. We propose a non-uniform sampling method according to the probability distribution to generate initial set of rays, and an algorithm for bounding volume hierarchy (BVH) which is applicable to intersection check between ray tube and edges/observers. The former method increases the probability for the direction which contribute received powers, resulting in the reduction of calculation time to 70% - 80%. The latter method reduces calculation time to 4.5% comparing with the time which uses face BVH only.
