MACEKY II with reduced thickness by using new structure

Abstract(in English) A functional small antenna “MACKEY” basic type (Wi-Fi 2.4GHz band) operates not only in free space but also on metal. However, the basic type has a thickness of 4mm and it is very thick as an antenna mounted on the product. Therefore, a new model "MACKEY II" (Wi-Fi 2.4GHz bank) with thin and broadband characteristics is proposed. As a way to create thinner than the basic model, the new structure is used that antenna plate places inside the AMC substrate. It is possible to reduce the thickness of the antenna substrate, compared to the basic type. In this paper, examines some features of MACKEY II. Subsequently, it is checked whether it operates not only in free space but also on metal, and compare the performance difference with the basic type.
