Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Our research group have studied on multirotor UAVs for manpulation tasks at high elevation place. In an aerial manipulation, which physically touches an object while flying, low latency and real-time processing are required to detect and track the object. In most cases, a CPU-based vision system is used for that, but it is thought that the processing speed can be increased by using an FPGA. In this paper, I would like to introduce our recent work on aerial robots for manipualtion tasks and their problems, and describe the expectations for the use of reconfigurable systems in aerial robot systems.
