Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a transmission/reception protocol that combines our previously reported interleaver-linked receiver beamforming (BF) method with the transmitter channel equalization for time division duplex (TDD)-interleave division multiple access (IDMA)-based random access. While the interleaver-linked receiver BF method makes channel estimation at each receiver antenna unnecessary, if the number of sets of (interleaver, preamble, receiver BF vector), M, is not large enough, the prepared receiver BF vectors will not match the user channel sufficiently and the transmission performance will degrade. A major factor limiting M is the number of orthogonal preambles for channel estimation. When the cyclic-shifted Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequences are used for generating orthogonal preambles, the cyclic shift width Δ must be larger than the multipath delay spread in order to separately detect the received multipaths from different user in the channel estimation and user detection processes. In the proposed method, by combining the above method with the transmitter channel equalization, the frequency selectivity of the effective channel including the transmitter channel equalization is reduced, in other words, the delay spread of the effective channel is shorteded. This enables to increase M by reducing Δ and improve the accuracy in receiver BF in the interleaver-linked receiver BF method. Based on computer simulations, we compare several transmitter channel equalization schemes in the proposed method and show the performance enhancement by using the proposed method quantitatively. |
