Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Rapid and universal proliferation of information and communication technologies (ICT) makes information and communication systems excessively complex, energy consuming, and surprisingly fragile. To realize sustainable information and communication systems, so-called bio-inspired ICT has been attracting researchers. Biological systems are inherently energy efficient and robust to unexpected changes in surrounding condition. Bio-inspired ICT adopt principles and algorithms behind biological systems to achieve their desirable characterstics. In this paper, new network architecture called brain-morphic wireless sensor network, which embeds artificial intelligence in a wireless network consisting of tiny devices by applying a reservoir computing model.
