Nonlinear dynamics of a turbulent fire under high oxygen concentrations

Abstract(in English) We have clarified the spatiotemporal dynamics of the temperature field during a turbulent fire under high oxygen concentration using time series analysis based on symbolic dynamics. The dynamical behavior of temperature fluctuations becomes more complicated in the downstream region than in the upstream region as well as a recent study [K. Takagi et al., Phys. Lett. A 382, 3181 (2019)] on turbulent fire under normal oxygen concentration. High oxygen concentration field gives rise to the significant density difference between combustion products and surrounding atmosphere, resulting in the increase in the irregularity of temperature fluctuations in the upstream region.
