Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There is a problem that stereoscopic depth reversal occurs if a single retro-transmissive plate(RT plate) is used when forming an image in the air using a three-dimensional object as a light source. In this paper, we propose a triangular optical system that eliminates stereoscopic depth reversal by adding two mirrors to one RT plate, and evaluate its performance. Experimental results show that our system can eliminate stereoscopic depth reversal, and determine pop-out distance, brightness change, and viewing area of the mid-air image by our system.
