Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is necessary to discriminate metal objects at high speed with a low-cost sensor for automatic sortingof waste. In this research, we propose a method for estimating the area where metal objects are present from thetarget scene using a projector camera system. The proposed method uses a method that can separate and acquire interreflected lights and directly reflected lights generated from metal objects, and detects the region which the interreflection occurs as the existing region of the metal objects. Experiments were conducted in simple scenes with a lambert reflector object and a metal object, and it was confirmed that the metal objects could be detected.
