| Abstract(in English) | Abstract In recent years, the changes in the proportions of primary, secondary and tertiary industries have shown a marked increase in tertiary industries. As the tertiary industry is sometimes called the service industry, service is an important factor. The meaning of this service in the industrial area has been discussed at Society for Serviceology and so on. In this paper, the role of technology in the value co-creation of service and the role of networks and information and communication technology (ICT) in the business area of the service industry are discussed．Furthermore, we discuss the importance of social network theory in services, and describe the effectiveness and development of the research of network engineering conducted by the authors in the social network theory. |
