Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the industrial field, there are many types of electrical remote sensing technology that use strain gauges. However, sometimes sensing requirements do not suit the use of electronic wiring because of the possibility of surge current generation. The purpose of this research is to create a sensor that can measure strain at low cost using bending losses of optical fiber. In this paper, we measured the bending fiber type optical sensor performances under several design conditions.
