Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When an impact load is applied to a CFRP, AE waves, which are elastic waves of several kHz to 400 kHz, are generated. An ultrasonic wave sensing technique using the Band-pass filter on fiber end (BOF) with optical fiber was demonstrated. To apply this principle, it is possible to detect AE waves in CFRP. In this report, we compared the frequency characteristics with the conventional AE sensor and investigated the performance of the BOF sensor.
