Analysis of delay characteristics of connection through LTE network by time series analysis

Abstract(in English) Industrial monitoring systems are useful in remote monitoring, control, and diagnosis of equipments and facilities. For further reduction of operational and management cost, detection, prediction, and analysis of failures are strongly required in those systems. To achieve this, we measured response delays of connection from a wireless device to a cloud server through an LTE network in a variety of time of day and day of week. We first analyzed obtained data by time series analysis. Then we tried classification of them by clustering based on parameters of principal component analysis. As a result we revealed that we could grasp mid-term variation of response delay and there existed specific characteristics in accordance with time of day and day of week.
