Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As general-use Internet of Things (IoT) products equipped with wireless communication device compliant with IEEE 802.15.4g, which is used in smart metering systems and others, small devices for data collection are spreading. There are some efforts to introduce such products in medical and nursing fields. In medical and nursing care facilities, it is necessary to find a position to install the IoT products where the user does not feel uncomfortable. Although the transmission performance of IEEE 802.15.4g based communication systems has been evaluated in various fields, there is no report on transmission performance in an indoor environment considering the real installation conditions. In this report, we evaluate the transmission performance based on, the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and the reception success rate with the Wireless Smart Ubiquitous Network (Wi-SUN) certified devices compliant with IEEE 802.15.4g, assuming the installation on the ceiling of a medical facility.
