Abstract(in English) | Currently, the handwriting verification has been attracting attention in Japan with the progress of internationalization and cashlessness. The handwriting verification is roughly divided into two types: the offline verification and online verification. They are considered to have advantages in the sense that they are easy to install and allowed to change the registration data. However, they have a problem about the authentication accuracy not being sufficient. In this paper, we focus on offline handwritten signature verification and aim to improve authentication accuracy by applying the minutiae matching method used for fingerprint authentication. Specifically, four characteristic points such as end points, branch points, intersection points, and break points are extracted from characters, and the similarities of coordinates and angles are compared. This report is the results of the initial stage evaluation. In the future, the authentication accuracy combining those data with the previous method will be verified. |
