Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Steady-State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP) is useful as a basis for Brain-computer interface (BCI). The liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor based visual stimuli expands the versatility of BCI. However, a flickering frequency of visual stimulus is limited due to the refresh rate of LCD. Modulated flickers have been proposed as a way to overcome limitation poblem. In the conventional research, the frequency structure of flickering pattern was used to identify the frequency of SSVEP. However, some modulated visual stimuli yield the SSVEP which has multiple peaks in frequency structure. In this paper, we show the relationship between the frequency structure of blinking pattern and the frequency of SSVEP.
