Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study was to examine the difference in the effect of communication between emoticon types (face-marks, pictograms, and LINE stamps) in emotional communication on text chat situations. The four types of emotions to be conveyed were happiness, sadness, anger, and anxiety. The analysis showed the addition of emoticons promoted the transmission of emotional messages. In addition, in the emotions of happiness and anger, the difference in the effect of emoticons suggesting that the LINE stamps promote more emotions than the face-marks or the pictograms.
