Information Distribution Control with Limited Distribution range based on Mobile Access Point over Wireless LAN Environment

Abstract(in English) Evacuation information must be certainly delivered to evacuees in order to achieve rapid evacuation when a disaster occurs. Although an epidemic communication is one of the typical methods for distributing such evacuation information, it disordered spread of information. An information floating has been proposed as a method to solve this problem. Also, the previous study shows that a moving vehicle such as an automobile equipped with WLAN(wireless LAN) AP(Access Point) (we refer it as mobile AP) enables to connect with terminals which exist in a wide area. Furthermore, by using mobile APs which limits the distribution range based on information floating, it can prevents data transmission failure due to interference between mobile AP and prevents disordered spreading information. Consequently, it can distribute information more efficiently. However, the previous studies have not sufficiently evaluated the communication characteristics of information distribution by mobile AP. Therefore, in order to improve the communication efficiency of information distribution based on mobile AP, we propose the information distribution control with limited distribution range on mobile AP. The simulation evaluations show that the proposed method can distribute information faster than one without limited distribution range.
