A quadruped robot controlled by an asynchronous cellular automaton CPG

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present a CPG (Central Pattern Generator) based on an asynchronous cellular automaton. Adjusting the coupling parameters of oscillators, phase differences among the oscillators can be changed. By using the adjustment, a quadruped robot can realize various gaits. Also, we confirm that power consumption and the number of circuit elements can be reduced compared to the Hopf CPG model.
